5 Activities in Santa Barbara, California

Walk Down State Street

This iconic shopping and dining street is a great area to take a stroll. Due to the pandemic, the street was completely closed off from traffic to allow for outdoor dining and more social distancing.

Check out The Book Den

Right around the corner from State Street is The Book Den. This bookstore sells new and used books! I picked up In Five Years and Where the Crawdads Sing.

Stroll Down the Beach and Stearns Wharf

It’s always a good idea to explore the beach when in a beach town! A relaxing walk down the beach and across Stearns Wharf is a nice way to indulge in Santa Barbara’s warm sun and to feel the sand between your toes.

Maritime Museum

This history museum covers many different ocean-related topics such as surfing, natives, how Southern California became colonized, the U.S. Navy, sailing, and so much more! I spent nearly two hours here!

Check out Wineries and Breweries

There is an abundance of wineries and breweries in Santa Barbara, including on State Street. I went to Third Window Brewing Co. and I loved it!
